I just learned of Mr. Arot's passing this morning. I am deeply saddened for his daughter, Samantha, and the rest of his family. I, myself, lost my father 4 years ago and I know how hard it is to lose such a great person in your life. I remember little baby Samantha venturing with us to our competitions and our trip to New Orleans. Mr. Arot's wanted his little girl to be a big part of the life he had so much passion for. I was in the Sallies marching band from 1990 to 1994 and one of his drum majors in 1994. I loved working with Mr. Arot's. He gave me the courage and the determination to be the best leader for the band and I couldn't ask for a better music teacher. Thank you Mr. Arots for a great 4 years! Felicia Jones ('90-'94)
